We are pleased to welcome three new Member appointments and showcase our expansion plans for 2020.
Gemma Peebles, Principal of Harrison College, the specialist business and enterprise post-16 institution; Paul Stevenson of Branding and Digital Agency – Unbloq Ltd, and Ryan Davis of K.D.Davis & Sons Greengrocers and suppliers to corporate caterers all join DB4C as Members with immediate effect.
Ryan will also become the charity’s lead Member in organising its highly successful annual cricket match, the Business Community Vase, and new Golf events including Corporate Indoor Golf and Golf Sixes.
Following unprecedented levels of interest in DB4C tt is also envisaged that further new Members will be appointed early in the New Year as DB4C strengthens its Board of Directors and Members as it embarks on an expansion of its activities including some new sporting events for 2020.
At the same time DB4C has announced the successful launch of it’s new Associate Scheme and have already signed their first Associate Members in Restart Signs & Graphics Ltd and Woodruff Hill Wealth Management Ltd. The scheme is open to any Doncaster based business to join and support local causes whilst providing a range of benefits for their staff.
It is with regret, but with gratitude for all they have achieved, that Doncaster Business for the Community has also accepted the resignations of two of their members in recent weeks. Gary Rogers and David Plant have stood down from their positions due to work obligations but remain supportive of DB4C’s aims and activities in mobilising the town’s business community to raise funds for local causes. “I speak for the Directors and Members of DB4C and the many businesses who have supported us when I say that Gary and Dave were key figures in helping us to get started and I thank them for the part they have played and we wish them every success in their respective businesses”, Tim Shaw – DB4C Chairman
“DB4C has achieved so much since it was founded two years ago and our last three events alone have broken all previous records proving that the town’s businesses have a huge heart and care deeply about the community and it’s wellbeing. This in turn has resulted in huge levels of interest from local business people wishing to join us and helping us to realise our plans to expand DB4C’s Membership and events. As a result we are delighted to welcome Gemma, Paul and Ryan as new DB4C Members and who will be joined by others shortly and we look forward with growing confidence to 2020”
Tim Shaw – DB4C Chairman
